Happy Holidays from Portland
hello family,
as some of you may have seen on the news, we’ve had quite an artic blast out here in the PAC NW.. we have about 17 inches on our deck right now. i know what some of you are thinking, what’s a little snow?? well, we don’t get that kind of weather here in this city. in fact, it’s been 40 years since stumptown has see this much snow!
our new little house is great, but we’ve been snowed in for 8 days now. since i had some time on my hands, i made a little video of the neighborhood kids skiing and snowboarding down the hill in front of our house and posted it in the gallery…
anyway, it’s just going to be the two of us this year. at least the hot water works again..

New Family Directory
Hey everyone - I have added a family directory to the site, so that everyone that registers for an account can put information in his/her profile to share with the rest of the family, such as address, phone number, current job, favorite movie, preferred brand of underwear, etc. Just fill out your “profile” page (especially the Biographical Info section) with the info you want the other family members to see, and it will appear in the Directory!
Where is this Directory you ask? Well, there is a link to it right on the front page of the site (in the upper left). Click that sucker (it says “Clervi Family Directory”) and you will see it! Click on any of the users, and you will see whatever info they chose to put in their profile. I would encourage people to fill out their profile with at least their first and last names, because usernames can be ambiguous and confusing (MOM!).
And last but not least, worry thyselves not, because this feature comes with Privacy Protection! Indeed, only family members will be able to see this Directory. If you are not logged in, no directory for you. The more technically astute among you will notice that anyone can register for the site and log in. Well, I out-sneaked them, and I actuallly have to promote new users to “family” status manually before they will be able to see the directroy (and publish posts), so no worries about rogue stalkers accessing private data or spamming the site.

The Drury Hotel was spacious and the service was great.
The Thanksgiving meal was delicious and presented with a flair.
The dining hall was a perfect fit.
The pinata will be a lasting and cherished memory for all.
Paul’s account of the Clervi geneology provided the shovel for a deeper dig.
The poker game was a fun destination for the players as well as the observers.
“Freddy’s” Birthday was a BIG surprise with good food and lots of laughs.
Let’s do it all AGAIN!!!
